Eric Schmidt (Google’s CEO) was the Keynote at the Media Summit in Abu Dhabi this week.
If you read between the lines, you can see his powerful interest in the advent this year of Tablets like the (unmentioned by name) iPad and how the media will be targeting these devices.
If I’m not mistaken, you might see a potential veiled early announcement of an Android based Google Tablet as well.

An interesting presentation, but I find it ironic that media companies would locate their operations in either the Dubai Media City or the Abu Dhabi Media Park given the UAE’s draconian laws regarding any form of negative reporting by the media about the actual goings on in the UAE. They make China’s censership laws seem positively benign in comparison.
