Google Chrome, Ed Visiting Australia & Australian IBM Strikes September 2, 2008

The Browser wars are hotting up with Microsoft releasing their IE8 Beta this week and now Google letting slip that a Beta of their new browser dubbed “Chrome” will hit the market today.

IE8 is getting hammered on memory use, and I must admit I have seen it. The security model is very green as well, as sites that need authentication (like internet banking) keep requesting re-authentication with each page refresh.

I noticed Ed Brill’s announcement about his impending visit to Australia in November. It will be good to see Ed again!

And IBM is in the local media with an impending workers Strike possibly affecting some large Enterprise Customers like Qantas, Westpac, and Medicare.
