Twitting this morning, and went to add a new twit when I received the White Whale of Death on the Twitter Site.

Which prompted me to consider whether the potential advertising-oriented funding model for Twitter may break with the geometric growth of it’s use. It’s closest equivalent would be SMS which underwent tremendous growth, and Twitter could well replace it, but SMS has a use funding model with the Telcos. Twitter does not, and may not be considering monetising this way.

Will they be able to keep up with the infrastructure requirements globally for it’s use under this model?

It will be interesting to keep a watching brief on this…

In the meantime, I guess I’ll wait a while, and then send a tweet out there that I have just posted this Blog 🙂
